Role: Technical Writer In the complex realm of EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management software, a clear and user-friendly help guide is essential, especially when dealing with hazardous chemicals and strict laws and regulations. A robust user help guide serves as a cornerstone for organizations committed to both operational excellence and the health and safety of their workforce.

Turning EHSQ and ESG complexity into simplicity
The user guide I collaborated on is structured around real-world scenarios, providing clear, step-by-step instructions for users managing these complex tasks. It’s designed not just to simplify processes but to anticipate user challenges, incorporating actionable tips, best practices, and troubleshooting advice to enhance the overall experience.
My contributions included drafting, revising, and organizing over 1,000 topics within the guide, ensuring content was user-centric and aligned with the software’s functionality. I worked closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to capture intricate details and translate them into accessible, user-friendly content. This approach has empowered users to navigate intricate tasks with confidence, maximizing the software’s utility and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations. Additionally, I managed ongoing updates to keep the content relevant as the software evolved, reinforcing my commitment to delivering precise and effective technical documentation.
Using clear and concise language, consistent terminology, and avoiding technical jargon where possible makes the content accessible and effective for a broad range of users, ensuring they can easily achieve their goals within the software.
